pretty damask

Monica is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. She emailed me a few months ago to help her make custom inserts for her bridal shower. She purchased invitations elsewhere, but wanted to include a custom Wishing Well card that coordinated with her existing invitations.

Wishing Well

We also designed coordinating address labels that will go on the front of her hot pink envelopes.
Address Label
{I'm getting so much better at making up fake names and addresses!}

The printed cards will have moss green twine wrapped around the top of the card, underneath Wishing Well and above the phrase.

Next up was her Welcome Basket Sign.
Welcome to Nashville

Then, her votive wraps. Her wedding is very elegant and vintage, and she wanted to add some flair to her tables by including votive wraps. We played around with different colors -- greys and shades of pinks -- but ultimately a hot pink damask design, which I printed on vellum.

{I'm a designer, not a photographer}

Monica also wanted stickers to use on her bridal shower favors, which are going to be CUPCAKES! Seriously, what an AWESOME favor.
Bridal Shower Cupcake Thank You Tags
We decided to design them using the same pattern as her votive wraps, and incorporate the font color and style as her insert card and address wraps.

She specifically wanted to include the saying, "He loves me... he loves me not... he loves me.. so we're gonna tie the knot!"

Still on the list? Her second bridal shower invitation and dessert buffet signs!

sweets & treats birthday party

I met Natalie during move-in day our freshman year of college. We were inseparable for years, but then we grew up and life happened. She was married first, and moved a few hours away. We stayed close, though, and I was so happy to have Natalie be a part of our wedding. She was one of my bridesmaids!

Shortly after Ben and I were married, Natalie found out she was pregnant! I cannot believe that Eva is turning ONE! This year has flown by, and I'm sure it's gone by even faster for my dear friend and her new little family. When she asked me to design the invitations for Eva's birthday party, I jumped at the chance! What an honor, and how exciting! I can't wait to be a guest at Eva's candy themed birthday party.

{Eva swimming this summer}

This little girl has a smile that can light up a room, and Natalie and Daun have the most beautiful daughter! She is the sweetest addition to their family, so it makes perfect sense to have a sweets themed party.

Sweets & Treats - First Birthday

This is the second proof of the invitation that I designed. I'm waiting for Natalie's approval, but I can't wait to get these printed and in the mail! I purchased matching pink invitations, and am going to embellish them with striped wrap-around address labels.

I can't wait to be a guest at Eva's first birthday!

{new} save the date announcements

I've been hard at work on a new line of Save the Date announcement cards. With a nod towards Spencerian typography, these 5x7 announcements boast calligraphic save the date surrounded by beautiful swoops and swirls. Personalized information fills the rest of the card, with a calligraphic "formal invitation to follow" at the bottom.

let them eat cake

Please let me introduce you to one of the most exquisite bakers I have ever come across. Ever.

Maggie Austin is located in the DC Metro Area and offers a very unique representation of cakes and pastries. She treats each dessert like a peice of art, using symmetry and elegance to perfect the look of haute couture pastries.

I have never seen so much attention and detail go into dessert before, and am awestruck at the beauty of these cakes. The colors, the details, the textures... truly magnificent.

{real weddings} wrap around address labels

A few weeks ago, Anne contacted me through my website looking for address labels to coordinate with her save-the-dates. She and her fiance wanted something that would take care of both the mailing address and return address at the same time, and sought after wrap-around address labels in coordinating colors.

Anne chose my address design #017 based on its simplicity and teal color, although I do color match for all of my clients. It's very important for your parties and weddings to coordinate! After sending Anne the completed file, I walked her through the steps to print the labels. It's pretty easy, and she seemed excited to get started!

This morning, I woke up to the sweetest e-mail from Anne telling me that she had blogged about her experience working with me and how wonderfully her save-the-dates and envelope wraps had turned out. I'd like to share a few photos, but I'll let Anne's blog do most of the talking!

{new} custom monogram

Kristen from Signature Occasions asked me to create a custom monogram for her client. She was looking for something very traditional to use on all of their stationery.

Custom Monogram

I love the deep gold color of this design!
Here is what Kristen had to say:
"Perfect...the bride loved it! I met with her today and showed it to her. She loved the font and look of it."

monograms

Katie called me a few weeks ago to discuss wedding stationery for her April 2011 wedding. She is quite possibly the sweetest girl ever, and we completely and totally hit it off right from the start! We decided to start with her monograms, since she hadn't taken her engagement photos yet. We should be starting her save-the-dates any day now :)

Katie and Ryan's colors are plum and gold.

These monograms are simple yet chic, and are sure to offer a touch of class to their stationery, favor bags and labels.

it's (almost) halloween!

The leaves are changing, the weather is cooling down, and Halloween is on my mind!!

I teamed up with several other ladies (we call ourselves the Boo Crew!) to create an out-of-this-world Halloween themed photo shoot. Bonnie from Sadie Days Photography was kind enough to share with us this sneak-peak, and I'm dying to see the rest!

kids-circles-etsy

These party circles are for sale in my etsy shop, and are so versatile! They're 2.5" round and can be used as cupcake toppers, party favor tags, seals, stickers and so much more. I've even made straw medallions out of them!

My cupcake toppers are on top of the BooVelvet cupcakes baked by Pam from Party Starters. The Boo Velvet cupcake kit was sent by RedVelvet Stefanie. You may recognize Stefanie from the Food Network show "Cupcake Wars". Can I just say --- my toppers were on cupcakes from RED VELVET STEFANIE! WOO!

The fabulous cookie laying on the table was created by Sandy from Sandy's Baking Memories. The spider web cupcake wrappers and candy corn favor boxes are also from Pam from Party Starters.

So many other fabulous women collaborated on this particular party, but only myself, Stefanie, Sandy and Pam are in this photo. I cannot wait to show you more!

There are also photos of the Adult Vintage-Goth party, but I'm sworn to secrecy and am bursting at the seams to be able to show you the pictures!! Trust me... they are SO worth the wait!!
